Unveiled in 2024, the collection aims to highlight the breathtaking beauty and incredible biological diversity found among insects native to Paraguay. The image was created through a highly intricate process of merging thousands of individual photographs taken with a custom camera rig and microscope objectives, resulting in a level of detail and multidimensionality that is both scientifically captivating and beautiful to enjoy. Following a successful exhibition at MuCi in Spring 2024, a selection from the project is now available for purchase in a variety of sizes. These professional C-type photographs are emulsion printed on silver halide photo paper, revealing the brilliant colors, striking textures and deep blacks of each image. A portion of the proceeds from each print purchase will be donated to MuCi, allowing Paraguayan children from underserved communities to visit the museum at no cost.
